I had a Minox gift of my sister .. funny camera

Unusual color but nice in you picture Wayne

Best

Henry

It is a funny little camera. In this particular case, I developed the film in one of those ancient daylight tanks sold by Minox. This was the first roll. It was a very fiddly experience, with use of only 25, or so, ML of developer. I am going to give it another go. As you can see, the first did not go so well. But I think it captured the spirit of the "snap." It would not have been possible with any other camera. I set the camera, cocked it, and put it in my pocket; at the right moment I was able to pull it out, guess direction of lens, and take the shot.

Thanks again,

Some street art from a few years ago:

pic removed for brevity

Canon A1, FDn 35mm f2, Kodak E100VS (I really miss this film!)

Phil, that street sign makes it my opinion, and well crafted too. Some photographers just take pictures of other's art, graffiti etc, without adding their own vision. This transcends straight jacket vision!

When I first looked at photo I thought it was one of Adam's. I guess I am complimenting both of you.

Thank you very much Henry!

As you can see there is a purple border on the right side. However, I discovered it's not the scanner fault. My lab have made a mistake with the chemicals, and the fixer was too weak, which leaves some silver on the negative and causes weird color shifts with the scanner, especially when the IR channel is on. Anyway, I have the Coolscan V on the way, so I will have two operational scanners :)

Edward both scanner is good with the light superiority for Coolscan.

As you already know , as you have before Coolscan 5000, the Coolscan V

works well too.

Yes I don't notice the purple band

Exactly I am like Wayne ... this green with its nuance and shade is superb

It's Adam style with his NYC tags :)

I will try the Beoon soon, my Coolscan just won't start anymore and I wil make sure to shoot RAW and not add sharpness nor crank up the clarity . I never managed to have good results with my V600 Epson yet will try again with all the MF archives begging me for some air...

JM it seems you recently purchase the Coolscan ?

What's wrong ? mechanical or software problem ?

I go away for a few days and come back to find I have 40 pages to catch up on here!

I haven't time to post much lately but I did just get back from a road trip through the Badlands and Yellowstone where I shot almost as much 6x6 slide film as I did digital. I haven't developed it yet as next week I'm going to London and Scotland where I will shoot some more, I'll develop it all when I get back and hopefully there will be something worthy of posting.
