Steve Ricoh Posted August 25, 2017 Share #39001 Posted August 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Steve like him ? http://dailycaller.com/2017/08/22/eclipse-2017-so-is-trump-blind-now-or-what/ Henry I thought it was going to be entertaining on hearing about his election, but entertainment quickly passes by. He's certainly stupid to look at the sun, and as a doctor you will know how dangerous, life changing even, it can be. I like the 'call-out' don't look, probably by one of the few presidential aids he hasn't yet sacked!

Steve Ricoh Posted August 25, 2017 Share #39003 Posted August 25, 2017 Probably the best photo thread on the Leica forum with nearly 2000 pages being testimony. Out of interest, any of you guys using a Leica BEOON as part of the digitisation process? It's something I'd like to try myself.

philipus Posted August 25, 2017 Share #39010 Posted August 25, 2017 I had a bit of a surprise when I scanned a roll the other day. Apparently I had shot half of it in my EOS 1N during a full moon a while back (with the 100L and 200/2.8L) and then put that same roll in my TTL (with the 50/1.4A). Made for a few interesting photos. Here are the best moon shots. Re the first one, the car was a shock pink BMW with even half of the logo in pink. The Peace Palace is visible in all of them. On the last one the building being constructed is the new home of Eurojust. Fuji Pro 160S Flickr Flickr Flickr

I would have breathed much easier and would have hurt my back less steadying myself against a pillar, if I had loaded HP5 and used a Nocti instead - not that I own one ;-) Edited August 25, 2017 by schattenundlicht

schattenundlicht Posted August 25, 2017 Share #39018 Posted August 25, 2017 Very nice picture Mathias You add sepia tone ? Wellknown cathedral of Metz Thank you for posting Best Henry Thanks, Henry. Yes, the cathedral is truly marvelous! I scanned in colour mode and after negative reversal, the color tinge of the film base material turned into a quite pleasant sepia nuance. Normally I transform to true b/w, but with this film from a truly elderly camera and lens, I left it, as chance provided me with. Kind regards Mathias
schattenundlicht Posted August 25, 2017 Share #39019 Posted August 25, 2017 [...] Wellknown cathedral of Metz [...] One afterthought: I visited the cathedral on three consecutive days, with different cameras and lenses, but I did not succeed in taking a single photograph that adequately conveys the beauty of the interior layout and ambience, which at the same time is geometrically straight and clear yet intricately complex. A remarkable piece of architecture.
