Last Sunday morning. I have taken a couple shots of this home, and one of the dogs. This time owner, R, was outside with his pals Bud and Duke. Spent a few minutes introducing myself, learning about the history of the building, and took a chance on asking for a family protrait. R obliged. In first picture R is trying to get Bud to look at camera, but Bud was having none of it. I barked for the second shot, got Bud to look, but Duke had to scratch. Such are the frustrations of family portraiture.......I guess. :)

It's better for me, lines and edges are "softer" ... I notice that scan accentuate a little

their sharpness. Try to look one body or something else, never you see edges hypernet

like that. That's what I reproach to digital ... and I regret some of you do not notice that ...

it's not aesthetic !

Thank you Neil for this version . Once again , surely better in print without scanning

and digitalizing step

Good work not easy to shoot nudity

Sorry to be frank Wayne ... i think this nice picture show us the "rural" side of US life

It seems belong to another period . In another term , it brings us several years in the past

look at furnitures in background. That's said , it has a charming side of american way of life.

Nice grain and black Wayne and thank you for posting :)

@Henry, it's all a matter of personal taste and pleasure, but have you ever connected a tube CD player with your high-end tube system?

Now before the others get bored and annoyed in this interesting film thread, you'll better get a personal message soon.

•  Photo was taken with M6 on Neopan 1600, which I particularly miss.  •attachicon.gif140213_4027_Neopan1600_dng_M6_DNG_LR5_jpg_8.1MB_frame_GrConv_292KB.jpg•  Meeting of Leica friends at Munich in 2013.  •

Yes MNU I had in test Audio Research (AR) tube CD player in comparison with a CD normal player and vinyl , it's

a little better (AR is very expensive) but when you compare , "no"  the sound is better in vinyl . I think the digitalization (binar code) distorts the original sound (like in digital camera) . In addition vinyl has not the same lecture system , it's RIAA code ... the reason probably of the difference

I have a little collection of SACD better than CD and it's not the same lecture system too , "softer" than CD and nearer of vinyl.

Nice vintage picture and nice reflection  :)

Thank you for posting

Henry

Yes David , people has now a "distortion" in the brain vision of image. I am afraid for a long time.

Fortunately , film is still the reference for comparison specially in color palette or also in black...

Some wellknown photographer tell , in digital it misses the "soul" , that's why digit image is "flat"

everything in the image is sharp and that everywhere (I say our "robot camera" is "stupid" because

he cannot distinguish the "nuance" and nuance is important in photography)
