After all the b&w R5 photos of the last few days, time for something in colour!  Just received back from the Lab.  Hasselblad 500C, 160mm Tessar CB, Velvia 100. One of the barge/houseboats on the Kennet & Avon canal in Wiltshire.

These folks will do old processes:

http://www.fotostation.co.uk/page/Other_Old_Film_Processing

They specifically say they can do Agfacolor CNS and that they do C-22. They can probably tell you if the CNS is developed in the C-22 regimen.

Thanks Chrism,

looks like C22 is the Kodak color negative process before C-41. It was done at 24°C, so similar to the Agfa process, but I guess Agfa had it's own process. I have found a sheme of the process, even with the used chemicals, but there is no name for it.

Looks like these guys that do process old films develop most films only as b&w. Found this on the web side:

The entire exercise is done in such a manner that you get the best salvaged result. Most films are done in B&W with exceptionof KodakcolourX and Disc films and 110 C41. However even these if its poor we may choose to do it B&W even if its grainy in order to obatin a Viable image.

That is what nearly all of them do. The effort to mix all this needed old chemicals is probably way to high, and mostly you won't even have the receipts necessary.

Regards

Frank

For Henry, Ektar & contre jour.

If you have seen movie Shawshank Redemption, you know that it was supposed to be set in Maine. Actually, the movie was shot at Ohio State Prison, now a national landmark/museum in Mansfield, Ohio. As there is still an active prison nearby, Ohio Dept. of Corrections still has active role in administration/security.  This is a shot of the staircase leading from warden residential area to prison facility. Active Ohio Dept. of Corrections officer lends authenticity. I could not help but be impressed, as he walked by, by how well suited he was for the purpose of providing corrective action, when needed.
