I guess, the reason for less popies is "glyphosat". You can find them on the one side of the way, and on the other side in the wheatfield are none.

I do have got this picture to show for today - a friend gave me this vintage camera. Very old, - lens is  4,8 / 105 G. Leitmeyr , München ( Munich) labelled and obturator is AGC ( Alfred Gauthier / Calmbach. The Back is a "Rada" back for 120 film. I think this was an "update" from the late 1920 or 1930s as I suppose this camera originally had a glass plate back. ( I suppose this as the camera has a wooden body).

I had to clean off the dust for days - with compressor/ airflow and soft brush and a lot of care. The lens is clean, the shutter times - astonishing - well functionning.

Here two pictures of what still goes with this vintage 80 or maybe 100 (?)  years old camera. Film was a 15 years over-the-date Ilford HP125 / 120 rollfilm. The most difficult thing is to see the subject through the vision lens. I know, these are no photographic masterpieces. But the pleasure to work with these venerable old cameras and to realize they still do their job after so many decades is a very special kind of experience.

Lovely to see such an old camera and to see the result too. One wonders what has passed through the lens over the years!

That reminds me very much of my 11th birthday present 60 years back and my first camera, which I still have.i seem to rememeber 12 shots per roll which were usually seen as frame 1 Christmas Day, frame 12 Christmas Day I year later ! Money was tight in them days !

That appears to be an outstanding result, and exactly what I seek.  I have some Fomopan 200 on order. How long did you develop?, one hour?

Best

Wayne

Thank you Wayne for your kind comment.

Development time was indeed one hour with ten inversions to start and then ten again at thirty minutes. I like stand developing as you do not need to be too particular about temperature and even the ISO of the film. In this case I had a roll of Agfa APX 100 at the same time as the Fomopan, both came out with what I consider respectable results

Hope that's helpful

Thanks. I have not been including halfway inversions. I think you have a much better result.

Felix is waiting ...

attachicon.gifCOL_Cali_R4_APX100_13_listo_gato4.jpg

M7, Agfa APX100, XTOL, Epson V700

This one made me laugh. When about 16 or so, I had a friend who had an ill tempered cat that looked a lot like Felix. He, the cat, cornered me in the bathroom one evening; the only way I was able to get around him was to use the water-pic (dental appliance popular in US at the time..sort of like a hydraulic laser) on him. Water is always the sure thing when facing off with a cat. :)
