edwardkaraa Posted July 16, 2017 Share #36243 Posted July 16, 2017 Are you sure it's not your scanner? Usually when I try to pull too much from an underexposed neg, I get the same type of banding. Agreed. I think it's the scanner too.

edwardkaraa Posted July 16, 2017 Share #36245 Posted July 16, 2017 A slightly lengthy post. Earlier this week I posted on the 'R Forum' that I was considering adding a Leica SLR to my armoury by buying an R-E or R5 plus possibly a 35-70mm f3.5 or 60mm f2.8. Then I realised I had a pristine Olympus OM2n sitting on the shelf. On Friday I put a roll of Acros100 through it (see earlier post for first results - post #36215) and they, plus the ones below leave me in something of a quandary. What will I gain from the Leica glass over and above that from the Zuiko 50mm f1.8? Probably better bokeh. More 'character'? 'Glow'? How does one assign value to such undefinable terms? For the price of just the R5 I could buy enough colour film to keep me going for years! Add in the price of a Leica R lens and I could buy just about all Zuiko OM lens on the the market! Close-Up 1 [ Close-Up 2 Close-Up 3 Very nice shots, Keith, and I would totally agree on the OM2n. I used Olympus OM gear for a long while and even Leica M can't compete with the compact bodies, bright viewfinders and small lenses. The only concern I would have is that the bodies tend to need repair quite often. I personally am considering to add a Nikon FM3a and a few Nikon lenses to my M7 set up.

Edward , good idea , you will have great equipments who give you better faithful color and without spending a lot of money and camera not obsolete in a few years ! black is also real black not black converted color > black , nicer !
