My Leica M6 is in my mates shop for sale, I like the compactness of the M6 but I just hate the files I get out of it. I am enjoying playing with my LF cameras for now, I have a 4x5 enlarger coming and I will put that in my house in Thailand, as for the 8x10 I love playing with that but unless I only stick with contact prints (which are great fun to make) I will need to use a LF digital printer (I know you hate anything digital) to print anything bigger than 8x10 which for me is fantastic ............best of both worlds

Neil

Neil , shoot M it's lighter :)  with age it's a plus !

I just spend yesterday all the night in my home lab for print . I did mainly Sylvain's wedding pictures.

He asks me to print in silver paper in comparison with digital print he has from Canon 5DII !

He is right

To day I'll return to print another series . What beautiful result with silver print ! contrast , definition

are great and a plus > the natural side aspect ! It's important , it's like when I watch in this forum pictures

from digital and from film !

Thanks Henry, thanks to all of You in the name of the venerable Agfa Box.

It was fun testing it, but to have no real control over what one does is ok. I won't change it for my IIIf, though. And I promise Leica shot pics soon  :-)

(https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_Le_Gray#/media/File:Gustave_Le_Gray_-_Brig_upon_the_Water_-_Google_Art_Project.jpgseascapes)  I love Your pictures !!!

I wish You a wonderful Sunday. Today is family day, I'll try to shoot some pics like Henry and Gary do, but I am not very gifted for this exercise: I'm too slow, most of the time.

The difference with digital with what I call the "shutter syndrome"

So Jean-Marie ,  it's a good thing , when you are "slow" and take time to compose , to frame before shooting.

People are now always in a hurry , why ?

Have a nice sunday

A couple of night-time shots taken in Barcelona:

barcelona-nights-0491.jpg?w=1024

Both taken with the M7 and ZM 1,5/50 (for nice glowy lights) using Delta 3200 rated at EI1600 and over-developed one stop in ID-11 (D76) stock.

Although I struggle with the digital M bodies, I love shooting with the M7...

Welcome Mark :)

Pictures taken at the right moment specially the first with the fastest camera M

as said Raymond Depardon Magnum agency !

So it's Ilford Delta 3200, great film and very nice grain like a painting !

For Mark who loves to "shoot with the M7"  the fastest

"120 milliseconds between pressing the shutter button and shooting".

Excellent result, particularly like the 2nd image - lots of atmosphere.

Thanks, Christoph :)

Adam,

Nice, I was wondering if you had abandoned the ever changing city murals for the sunsets. Luckily, for us, not so.

Stellar, Gary.  Beautiful colors

Nice to be able to lean out the kitchen window and take a pic like this. I'm going to struggle when we eventually move back into suburbia.
