I really like these Eoin. And I agree with Charles's thought about train stations. Airports are not at all the same. It's a bit like comparing film and digital, somehow

Yes, Philip - I think it's related to the sense of expectation, combined with the slower pace of trains coming and going. The film / digital analogy makes sense to me (which is generally an indicator of a flawed concept).

I love Your pics, but You're so fast for me :-)

What happened is I visited an old schoolmate, from back in the early seventies. He showed me a couple of nice old cams ... asking me "Do you want them? I do not use them anyway" ...- an Agfa Box from the early 30s that I most certainly shall try out very soon, a Rollei 35S I just develloped the film that still was inside and a Yashicaflex from the 1950s, I think it is an "A  II"  ( made some research)

I shot a 120 film with the Yashicaflex - quite a bit more "basic" than the Rolleiflex, but excellent lens. There was a bit of dirt on the lens, I only saw this after a first film shot. Cleaned the lens as well as I could, hoping it is just an outside dust problem..

Although this little problem ( like there was more light in the left of the photo than on the right) here's a picture I took of my bike, a couple of days ago. You can see the light "halo" - but the sharpness of this 1950s lens looks great to me.

Kodak Tri-X, stand devellopment Paranol S, 1:100, one hour and fifteen minutes.

Great texture and detail in this photo. Is your bike vintage or a new randonneur build?

Hello Henry, Eoin & Others,

Did you ever think of putting any of your very nice Railroad Pictures in the various appropriate categories in the German Forum in the Technik & industrie Section?

Best Regards,

Michael

Hello Again Everybody,

As examples:

Fasziination Eisenban for Trains.

Faszination Trambahn for Street Cars.

der Bahnhof Thread for Train Stations.

And more.

Even though this is in the German Language side of the Forum people are always welcomed when they provide pictures  with English Language commentary.

By the way, there are also a Mountains of the World & a Hotels of the World Section here on the English Language side.

Best Regards,

Michael

Neil , very nice color

Is it with your V850 ?

Henry

Good morning Henry

Yes this is from my Epson V850. It's so so easy to use and it gets the crop correct and can do 3 x 6x6 and 18 x 135 at a time.

When I get home later on I will go through the 3 rolls of 120 and 2 rolls of 135 and see if I have any Keerthan

Later

Neil I had a V700 and it's already a good scanner specially in b&w !

DMax near 4 like Coolscan. I work in 24x36 with ANR (Anti Newton glass) which improves

the rendering

Neil I just buy this timer for 30 Euros (not from eBay) . It's new , never used

It's my second Philips timer. It also gives you the "grade" of the paper
