Doc Henry Posted June 17, 2017 Author Share #34641 Posted June 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Scooter.jpg Last week I bought my first film M, an M4, here are a couple from my very first roll - Ektar 100 Rose.jpg First Welcome LB and thanks for sharing with us Your picture shows a nice color specially the red of Ektar but I think you'll have better color with your own scanner. You can find now , scanner second hand and almost new at a good price. As scan brands , you have Epson for 135 and also Medium Format (MF) or Plustek I am sure GaryB can help you for Plustek. I had Epson scan V700 before , now sold but it's a good scanner color as b&w Very good rendering in b&w . If you can , scan yourself ... and also develop yourself first b&w and secondly color I develop myself both ! Best Henry

edwardkaraa Posted June 17, 2017 Share #34643 Posted June 17, 2017 Edward nice sunset with beautiful color n background in pic 1 Green in picture 2 and red pic 3 and 4 of Lomo are nice and vivid ! It's Lomo 400 isn't ? Nice and lovely picture 2 Thank you for posting Henry Thank you Henry! The Lomo F2|400 was a limited edition release, rumored to be very expired Ferrania. I was initially so displeased with the results that I threw away my remaining 4 unexposed rolls. Now that I scanned it myself, I actually like the colors, and regret having discarded the films. They were expensive too!

chrism Posted June 17, 2017 Share #34647 Posted June 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Arrrgggghhh, you have me considering an old Pen FT, always liked them, now thinking a bit more seriously. Gary Go for the Pen F, as the viewfinder is brighter (no light diverted to the meter), and the meters rarely work in an FT these days (and if they do, modern batteries mean they are inaccurate). They are a special treat to use, being smaller and lighter than a Leica. If you like the gritty kind of black and white photos having half-frame negatives helps a lot! philipus Posted June 17, 2017 Share #34648 Posted June 17, 2017 (edited) Excellent, Chris. And a very good car. Now you just need to put yourself and Pippa in the car and shoot it like Erwitt Sorry for no photos for a couple of weeks, but I've been cleaning out my office building so it can be sold. However, one good thing came out of its basement; in 1991 I bought a Miata and ran it each summer, and stored it in the heated office basement for the winters. When I lost my partner in 2001, I was too busy to have a chance to go near it and it gathered cobwebs. Now it's emerged, had a lot of new parts installed, and runs perfectly. 26 years old and only 31,000km! With 85mm/f1.4: Miata NA 2 by chrism229, on Flickr And the other reason to be cheerful today is that my OM-2n's returned from their CLA! Doc Henry Posted June 17, 2017 Author Share #34650 Posted June 17, 2017 Ian, You may have made the "Monarch" comment in jest, but just to let you know how close you are to the mark: Milkweed plants in our back flower bed. Taken yesterday morning as part of my Canon F1 revival. My wife cultivates a few plants every year for the specific purpose of attracting Monarchs. She instructs that I am not allowed to pull weeds without her supervision. I did almost pull one of the Milkweed plants this year but was quickly, and somewhat harshly, admonished for my ignorance. image133018-2.JPG Canon F1, FD 28mm 2.8, Fuji Superia 200 Wayne Fuji Superia gives a nice color IMO The green and the purple are nice Henry
