Crescent Island, Lake Naivasha, near Nairobi, Kenya. Sanctuary home to Giraffes, Hippos, various antelopes, and a python (which we happily didn't see).

Crescent Island was once an island, but no longer. The commercial farms, which can be seen on the far side of the lake, have used so much water that the level of the lake is down so that the island is now a peninsula. XP2, if anyone cares.

To Henry's point about color and film, specifically, red:

Yesterday I banged my M3 and 50 DR. Concerned, I quickly shot, and developed, a roll of Fuji Superia 800. Needless to say, my main concern was focus. Camera and lens seem OK, but I was a bit careless with negatives.

Roses; color red more faithfully reproduced than I have ever experienced in my own photographic efforts.

Michael, love the feeling of Africa imparted by the acacia. Shame about the changed landscape though.

Thanks

Charles

It may seem a bit weird, but I had to buy another camera to complete my collection. But as it seems, I am not the only one out there who treats himself something new time by time. My latest acquisition is a Leica Minilux, first roll is done, am now waiting for the results. Excuse the iPhone-shot:

James a great camera with the 40mm lens :)
