She used a Rolleiflex for many years and was forced to swap to 35mm by the photo editor at her paper (The Observer) and didn't like the change. After that she made do briefly with a Pentax SLR and then settled on a pair of OM-1 cameras. There's a book of her portraits called Faces: The Creative Process Behind Great Portraits which is rather expensive now, but very inspiring.

C.

I've got 2 of her books well worth having

I especially thank you bc my wife didnt like it. :)

Normal Adam, not usual to see this kind of color. May be she has the habit to look digital and corrected

pictures :)

For me ,  the color well reproduce the atmosphere of sunrise and I think this picture was taken

early in the morning with a sun that is not completely lifted

I agree with Chris , nice landscape with nice and soft color

Thanks, Henry. I agree with you. My goal with this photo was to capture a peaceful pastel paint brush look. The clouds were not moving fast enough to achieve a "paint brush stroke" look from the clouds. But i tried!!

I dont think my wife appreciates this sort of scene. But she is right about most things so it was important to get opinions here to help validate my impression.

You are exactly right about the time of day.

Thanks again

Many of you seem like flowers in this thread. It's a good thing :)

So I look for flower in my archives and don't find them.I think pictures are lost

many months ago when my hard drive (HD) was dead (for your information it's

Western Digital, not terrible as after sales service. People ready to sell and nothing else)

Fortunately, I keep preciously negative and I just scan some pictures for you !

I lost many hundred pictures inside this HD !

The color reminds me much Portra. At this time no Portra available and I use mostly

Fuji film, developed in official Fuji Central Lab.  Color is nice IMO

and for Henry, not a good photo, but perhaps interesting. The little creeks and rivers here have dykes built by Acadian settlers before they were expelled by the British in 1755. It seems it was easier to reclaim some marshland than to clear the forest, and the land was used for sheep, just as you have shown us at Mont Saint-Michel.

Stefan I love contre-jour like in your picture . Very difficult to shoot against the light and keep

details in the shadows.

Thanks for this nice picture in b&w , well done

Bordeaux, in the west of France, has a long history. These are ruins from Roman times. Wine, for which Bordeaux is so famous, has been produced since those ancient days.
