"White is white and black is black" such is the quality of film and I know what I say !
I will post a crop of black of a MM for Eoin. That's why I ask him comparison between analog  and digital.

I had a MM for test during 1 month many years ago , but finally I don't purchased  !

Best

That is a beautiful and touching moment. And the light is lovely.

Is your 50mm collapsible a new one or an old? I have a 50mm collapsible Summicron and it is beautiful in all those Leica-ery qualities (rendering, bokeh, etc) but the front glass is as soft as the skin on a custard tart and previous owners have wiped it clean with sand paper. It's like having a built in softar. (What a ramble!) My question is, "New or old?"

What a great quote "as soft as the skin on a custard tart" I'll have to remember that

I don't think I would undertake to photograph a wedding for any amount of pay! But my best man took this one in 1980. He had a Canon AE-1, and while I scanned this negative, I can't be bothered to dig through all those paper envelopes in the basement to report the film used.

Surely not with digital Stefan ,  and surely not for the quality of the reproduction of a picture

after 66 years.

Currently I have already difficulty to look at my pictures or to scan when I change my OS

(Windows XP is dead). I also lost hundreds of photos saving in my hard drive (HD)

because HD (500Mo) is dead , even Western Digital Belgium can not !

I bought now Toshiba HD of 1 To

I think your parents are happy when they watch this picture. Very nice and superb b&x tone

The little blurry side doesn't disturb me . At the opposite , I think with the age, it's  great

for the sentimental side :)

Thanks for posting this lovely picture
