The Summicron 35 Asph is nearly as good as 35F3.5 Color Scopar :D

Gary the proof when you take a same picture with same camera

and you crop or enlarge with an enlarger . Can you do that ?  :)

You can have sometimes a surprise :D

You said "details" ?

Todays monochrome, pushing the contrast range of  Tri-X, I could draw out much in the dodge and burn but I suspect at the expenses of how the look works for this frame.

Mine is F2.5, i'm going to get a Leica lens eventually probably a new  35mmF2.4 Summitar

Gary as I read in an article, this lens begins good at f 5.6. You have vignetting when opening at f 2.5

Chromatic aberration at full aperture + edge effect

"Correctly, and it is only at f / 5.6 that almost the whole image is excellent, the edges for them becoming

very good only at f / 8 " JM Sepulchre  (JMS)

I have optic diagram showing what JMS said and I can send you by MP

JMS said the "center wide open" is good and only the center

Look at the edge and angle Gary

You have excellent image at f /5.6 > f /11 with your Voigt include

edge and angle.

That said in b&w it's fine :)

If you can, take a 35 Summicron Vers. III
