Thanks you so much, Henry. I enjoyed the scenery. Bee keeping is something that has always interested me.

Oops! I posted within what I was quoting. It must have been the excitement brought on by the bees. :)

Very nice photos Brendan, in particular no. 2.

What a fascinating series Brenden, with engaging compositions and your gorgeous tonality, but where is it?

Regards

Charles

Thank you for the kind comments everyone!  Henry, I will try to eventually post a colour version but my scanning setup works better for B&W at the moment.

Charles, these were taken in Haleakala National Park in Maui, Hawaii.

I've had a disappointing few days, my M3 shutter blinds jammed open again mid-roll. Sending it off today for another service.

Then a birthday treat to myself, a Rolleiflex! Absolutely perfect for my go for a walk sort of usage and fun too. It's love at first sight.

But wait, what's this? Fungus in the taking lens. :o

Returned to seller without issue but my confidence of finding one that I can rely on is dented.

To cheer me up, from recent holidays..

Bummer of a week, Coogee. It can only get better (fingers crossed).

Just my suggestion - if I was looking for a camera to keep forever, and therefore didn't mind spending just that bit more to buy from a reputable, honest dealer, I'd always go here: http://www.leicashop.com/vintage_en/rollei/medium-format-tlr-cameras.html

Postage is free if you spend over a certain amount. I've bought from them before - my 135mm Elmar (that was previously owned by Elliot Erwitt) and my 90mm Summicron. They actually sent me a better Summicron than the one I ordered at no extra cost. Other than as an infrequent customer I have no affiliation with them.

As an added note to Australian consumers - remember that come July 1 the government will start putting GST on everything you buy from overseas. So that's a good incentive in the next couple of months if you want to buy anything valued at under $1,000.

Wayne nice contre jour , details in red color still visible !

What means "torture test" Wayne ? :)

Thanks

Best

Henry

I had loaded the 800 film- the only roll of film in my bag- in the camera before it turned out to be one of the brightest days we have had for some time. I was surprised the photos were not badly over exposed.

Thank you very much Henry. I'll give that some serious thought. In the meantime my focus is on getting my site up and running again which is where I'll have a page for them. I also have lion photos from Ngorongoro crater and also other wildlife shots which I'll post later.

br

Philip

I appeciate much this color Philip ! it's so faithful specially the fur of the lion

Once again , all your series Masai pictures  must be printed in a book

I think it'll be nicer.
