very lovely, Brendan; but please do share the camera, lens and film that you used to make these great photos... :)

I can't seem to edit my post, but they were all taken with an M4-P and a Canon 50/1.4 LTM.  The first and last photo were Fuji Superia 200 converted to B&W, and the middle photo was Arista Premium 400.  I normally add this when I post the photos but forgot today!

I like the idea Christoph, but i think you mean underexposed. I like the reflections in water.

I find the photograph rather surreal, it has a netherworld feel to it and as such the image lasts in memory long after viewing...

...

Christoph - This shot has your signature stellar composition.  But it keeps my eyes searching for something sharp so that I can anchor on the main subject.  Perhaps my issue is the lack of full resolution...

...

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your answer.

Christopher, it is overexposed - the negative is almost black. Whenever that happens I find two effects often take place. Firstly, the overall feeling is rather strange as mentioned by Charles. Secondly the sharpness suffers as mentioned by Adam. I'd be interested if anyone out there has the same experiences - or do you bin those results straight away :)

Have a nice Sunday,

Christoph

Christoph I thought it looked almost like a deliberate silhouette. I'm interested to know if there is more detail in the fowl? You are probably right though, this may be a negative I would hardly give a second look.

I have a set of criteria

1. Not worth the bother

2. Quick scan at 2400. Dpi for the record

3. Well exposed rubbish composition 3600 dpi

4. Of interest and nice 4800 dpi

5. May want to lightly crop and print in future 7200 dpi @ 360 and A3 size. That usually provides for my future needs.

You are right though yours is a negative I may have passed over thinking it's too much trouble. I have very limited time.

Regards

Christopher

Adam,

Well, one thing becomes apparent in the blizzard photo set: it is virtually impossible to maintain any appearance of dignity in such a storm. It makes you want to run back to your cave......and stay there. Catastrophic weather events certainly have a way of reminding, no matter who we are, or where we come from, we are all pretty much the same.

Thanks for a great series. I feel certain there is more.

After long contemplation over a suitable subject for a series, I think I am going to go with "Children's bicycles." They show up in the weirdest places.

The 320 Tri-X belongs to the friend who owns the camera. He's a professional scanner and post-processor. The film, which expired 06/2012 has been on ice since he bought. He has another 9 rolls and wants to use it on a future personal photographic project in India so asked me to test a roll for him.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on the camera when you've used it more as I might have some TC-1 GAS too :-)

Here's a nice backup TC-1 for you:
