24th April 2015. Photos from my first film camera since going digital , a Zorki 4K and f2 50m Jupiter lens. The flash was a Metz Hammerhead CT45-3. Kodak Portra 160. Film developed and scanned at ASDA Swansea.

I thought the shots were quite good for an old camera. About €30 with Jupiter lens. Unfortunately the focussing mechanism broke on the camera about a month later and then I bought a FED from the Ukraine which still works well.

color a little magenta as said Erl (visible in the picture on stone,

may be due to reflection of the sun on the street below)

but  for architecture it's nice IMO,  the blue of sky is nice too :)

In the same style and also with Kodak TMAX400 and my old Leica R4S (1986) + Summicron 50 (1986)

TMAX dev in pure Kodak Pro D76 (almost same dilution)

Last week in NYC :)

M7, 28mm elmarit pre asph Portra 400

To me these flash shots in the snow are always among your best!

 

As for my SOHO shot, yes panning etc works and I have don't that but it wasn't what I was trying to do there -- also hard to pan when people are coming at you :-)

 

Someday we will get to shoot flash together ...

Nice. I'm liking the Tmax 400 and D76 combo. Henry posted some with the same film/dev a few days ago. As I am thinking about (and reading about) trying so many other developers, it seems overwhelming. It's nice to see good old D76 does the job very nicely. So far I have only ever used D76 (and one batch of Tmax RS). Last week I mixed up some Xtol for the first time (have yet to use it).
