I really like the one with the little girl, Mark. Did you scan the other three with a digital camera? The exif says they were taken with a Minolta Xt. I thought they looked digital so I had a look (and I'm certainly not opposed to digital, just curious).

Hi Philip,

these few images were scanned by the photo lab where they were processed many years ago. I've never had a Minolta.

What I think  ?

SteveI love this kind of picture : movement effect, we do not see the faces well,

we guess, that's great and b&w gives a plus for the picture.

Thanks

Henry

Obviously too late now, but agreed, a tripod might have made a considerable difference. A good "end of roll" experiment, take a flash shot, then take a tripod shot, compare?

Gary

Gary I tried to shoot street photos with Portra 400 and with monopod at night

it's fine. Don't need flash

Original and funny picture.

You like TMAX400 too ?

Thanks for posting

Henry

Yes, I saw that gentleman using the bathroom as a windbreak and had to photograph him.  Good atmosphere.

Doc Henry: this might be a nice read, I enjoyed it, may you'll like it too? http://www.thephoblographer.com/2017/02/16/why-the-analog-photography-world-is-a-far-nicer-place-than-digital/

I tweeted him (Chris Gampat) our thread earlier today after reading the article.

I'm slightly jealous that you have a Contax G2. I always fancied one of them. Nice pic btw.

No need to be envious, Christopher - the G2 outfit was a victim of me going totally digital in 2005.  By the time I decided to resurrect the use of film in early 2011 I was already a Leica digital user so choosing a film body that could make use of lenses I already owned ruled out any G2 thoughts.

Well, now that you ask... I like these kind of technically imperfect shots. I think the top 1/4 does not add, but the two main protagonists with their umbrellas are simply nice.
