Doc Henry Posted January 17, 2017 Author Share #26283 Posted January 17, 2017 This Leica forum and thread is the absolute best. I've been on a good number of the others, including German ones (it's my second language despite being Welsh and half German myself ). It's here with film where the best shots are. The Germans seem to debate more than put actions into words, they'll never change. Regards Chris Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Chris great thanks ! mrckdavies Posted January 17, 2017 Share #26286 Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Friends I just feel the need to contribute this evening. I don't usually post shots of family. And if my Mum knew she got posted online I sure I'd be in trouble. It's shots like this that make me realise how great film is. These of my 8 year old. All with the M3 - practicing my focusing mostly shooting wide open with the 50mm and 135mm. Wayne Posted January 17, 2017 Share #26287 Posted January 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Les Landes, a department in south-west France, supports large pine plantations. I'm not sure how the colours came out like they did here. The whole roll rendered a little freakish... comical...saturated...painterly...? I have pulled back the saturation in Photos editor. A trail among the pine plantations of Les Landes, 2016. Country trail.jpg Of things related to film, one of my favorites is the appearance of things not quite understood. It is frustrating to see a result and not know how to replicate, but then..........it can not be replicated. I love this shot. It is the sort of thing you could hang on the wall, and from a distance, not be sure if it is a painting or a photograph. At any rate, it is beautiful. I've a great shot of a cheeky daughter but it's not uploaded to Flickr properly so once I'm home later I'll get it onto my iPhone and share it. My daughter is swimming at the moment with her club so I am grateful for the iPhone to keep me occupied. mrckdavies Posted January 17, 2017 Share #26294 Posted January 17, 2017 Here's the photo that I really like of a cheeky little girl, but it's not perfect in that capturing the look I only got focus on furthest eye. I still feel it captures an unrepeatable moment. Captured with the M3 again on Ilford XP2 Of course I love this cheeky madam who is growing up far too fast. Guest Posted January 18, 2017 Share #26298 Posted January 18, 2017 Just south of the town of Prachuab Khirikhan, this picture is taken on the main street of the little town of Khlong Wan. To the left is a restaurant and to the right is a shophouse. Thailand must have one of the highest per capita consumptions of plastic bags in the world, and scenes such as these are common.
