Look what Santa brought for me. I can't wait to be able to post up some pictures on here once I have figured out which end is which :) :)

Neil, for the studio portrait is the best if not one of the best :)

It reminds the photographer who took all my family with this camera

Phew, now that's mighty fine gift! Have fun battling the in's and out's and I'm sure when the dust settles you'll have mastered the beast and I'm looking forward to the results.

Cheers

Technical info for flatbed scanner : :)

I would like to submit you , specially for Gary , for information this short post about flatbed scan

Epson V700 . In principle you can also scan 24x36 and also all MF negative . You can see here

the  result with a negative 24x36 , I think is really good , correct and nice for one  scanner who

costs around 500 Euros . I know you are now the V800 but it's the same system.

That said you have better scan but more expensive like Imacon.

You need scan to post or to print by inkjet but in my case I scan for post but usually I print and

with the enlarger the result is better  :)

Here a picture taken with my Leica R4S - 50 Summicron

Epson V700+ ANR Glass *  only with 3200 dpi but can do to more 4800 dpi !

and the crop 100% below at left , the proof that the scanner is sufficient

Granville port Normandie

Your opinion ?

Best

Henry

* ANR improves overall contrast , sharpness , .... I recommand this cheap glass

Last summer while on holidays in my Mothers home town Fulda, Germany, I took some nice walks, but had no idea I may one day put them on this forum. These were scanned quickly and just taken for my pleasure. That day I also took my Typ 109 too. The walk followed the river Fulda at the bottom of town. Here are a couple of studies from that walk.

The first is of a house in the middle of an orchard.

The next two were taken along the path following the river. I came across a bunch of neatly planted trees with a display of yellow small sunflower like plants. It was midday and absolutely boiling hot.

The shots were all taken on the M6 TTL with the CZ 28mm Biogon. I suspect that the film may have been Agfa Vista 200. At €7 for 3 films it was worth a try. I did find I got some very grainy dark blue skies on some shots.

Regards

Christopher
