I still can't seem to find a scanning workflow I consistently like the results of.  Has anyone got any tips? I'm using an Epson V800, Epson scan, vuescan, colorperfect in an attempt to get the right results but I'm just never really satisfied.  I can see so much more detail in the negatives but can never seem to capture it all.

Hi All, thanks to some of you for your moral support.
It's warm to see that we're not alone. Thanks to Gary, Ric for a thought for me.
Thanks also to Adam regarding some who are only passing here and whom Adam

calls "viewers" and who never post a lesser photo.
Thanks to Ian for explaining that I am like him, demanding on the photo (details and color in the shadows)

and that I always photograph in difficult conditions (against light, darkness) compared with digital

Geissbach waterfall near Brienz. Full spate that day, and no photo can convey the energy of the moving water.

Taken with my dinky little Rollei 35S, and Delta 100.

Ric

Ric Delta 100 has "soft" tonality  IMHO

Very nice composition and framing

Dear Henry,

Just to tell you how much I do appreciate your thread, your enthusiasm and your medical engagement in Vietnam!

I also hope your sister is stable and on her way to recovery!

It may be, that I not always agree with you about your distaste for digital, but that should not distroy all the other subjects we do agree about!

I have spend most of my waking time working very hard editing material for a book. I have tried following the thread but did not comment. My sparetime belongs to my family and it has recently been little enough. I hope, you can understand...

But if that makes me a viewer in the eyes of Adam, then so it be...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Xenia you are not a "viewer" because at least you post nice pictures
The viewers pass , criticize without proof and do not post any picture

a big difference  in my eyes but they exist unfortunately in all forums.

Christmas , the moment to post one picture of our nice cathedral with

my new 35 Summicron Asph and with my first roll of Kodak TMAX100 !
