Fortunately, I was not in PR during the storm, this shot was from this past April. Stellar, Marc. Hopefully, you weren't stuck in PR in the storm.

A miller Posted October 9, 2016 Share #22283 Posted October 9, 2016 Eoin - these recent posts are quite fascinating. I am left to wonder what in the world you were doing clearing that brush and doing all that sailing in those far off places. Clearly, personal information that you are not obliged to share. But it has been some life! A snippet of fauna to accompany the prickly flora that Adam is dining us on. 500C/M Kodak Ektachrome Gary Wow, really lovely color palette, Gary. Exactly what I would want to achieve if I ever found myself in front of some sheep

philipus Posted October 9, 2016 Share #22287 Posted October 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) From your description it sounds like a positively awful experience, Eoin. Good photos though More from the Sepik. We all got malaria there, and I managed to trump the others by getting dengue fever as well. These shots were on the high ground before I got to the swamp (where I didn't take my camera). Once I got into the sago swamp proper (which was about 40km of sago floating on stagnant water), the mosquitoes were just a black cloud permanently enveloping us. I could last about 5 minutes at a time before their being in my ears, nose, and mouth would drive me to jump into the black water for relief. As soon as I surfaced, they'd be back for more. It was the worst place I've ever been, and made the PNG jungle look like a suburban park by comparison... None taken. I have Leica shots of that beach too. If 120 film wasn't such a PITA to process, I might have kept the Hasselblad a bit longer. No 35mm lens can come close to what a MF lens can do, for obvious reasons.
