My sweetheart with my favorite bright daylight color film

M-7, 50mm lux asph

Cinestill 50 (schmootz-free and within the super narrow one year freshness period  :o )

I agree with the comments above

Really nice and lovely picture Adam

Light and soft color giving a certain sweetness to the picture

Well framing

So I am back , very tired but in good health except for a treated gastroenteritis

that will disappear soon I think but the time difference is really tiring.

I am happy for the majority of my film photos (20 rolls) , almost no digital because

not sensitive and faithful enough to me, unless I have to play on isos

Color photos of dawn are beautiful . All is under development. I'll post soon here  :)

When I left it was page 1010, now we are in 1033 :)

Thanks to all of you to feed this beautiful film thread

Leica M6TTL, Voigtlander 35mm f1.7 VM, Kodak Ektar 100

Harold color is very nice .It reinforces my choice to use this time Ektar and less Portra 400.

Well captured

Thank you very much! It was also my first impression when I saw this special light, perfect for the Portra.

Thanks, Gregor.

Love it, Gregor.  My kind of "on the way to work" shot, taking the photo opportunities as they come.

What kind of film is that??

Thanks, Michael.  You are right :)

This was a private brand of a big german drug store group. I think it was an Fuji film and very inexpensive ( 2 or 3 EUR) ... Unfortunalety this film is no longer sold :(

Regards

Gregor

I am afraid I am not a big fan of Portra. I know I am in a minority here. The greens are not my taste and the colours are a bit muted for my taste again.

IMHO Ektar is the best colour negative film period. The colours, the grain, skins tones (again - my taste), everything. The only issue is that its 100 which is not great for English autumn/winters ...

My favourite 200 films are Fuji superia (smoother) and Kodak gold (punchy colours). 400 definitely Fuji Superia

Lomo has some crazy films worth trying. Terrible grain, interesting colours, this is Lomo Colour 400:

I always hesitate to put shots of my cameras on Flickr because they tend to get a lot more views than my real photos  but here are a few I shot on Sunday on Acros 100 to try out the 16E extension tube that Gary so very kindly sourced for me in NZ (80 FE Planar, Diafine, wet mount scan).

The extension tube is a very cool thing, indeed. Among other things, it shortens considerably the minimum and maximum focusing distances. These were shot at or very near minimum distance to see what would happen. The DOF is much narrower for any given stop. I really look forward to trying this with portraits. I suspect I'll get a "peering out of the fog" kind of look.

Philip - lustful camera.  What wet mount kit do you use and is it a mess to deal with?
