I am happy for the majority of my film photos (20 rolls) , almost no digital because not sensitive and faithful enough to me, unless I have to play on isos Color photos of dawn are beautiful . All is under development. Ratzfatz Posted September 6, 2016 Share #20636 Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) Thanks, Gregor. Love it, Gregor. My kind of "on the way to work" shot, taking the photo opportunities as they come. What kind of film is that?? Thanks, Michael. You are right This was a private brand of a big german drug store group. I think it was an Fuji film and very inexpensive ( 2 or 3 EUR) ... Unfortunalety this film is no longer sold Regards Gregor Edited September 6, 2016 by Ratzfatz
colonel Posted September 6, 2016 Share #20637 Posted September 6, 2016 Harold color is very nice .It reinforces my choice to use this time Ektar and less Portra 400. Well captured Thanks for posting Best Henry I am afraid I am not a big fan of Portra. I know I am in a minority here. The greens are not my taste and the colours are a bit muted for my taste again. IMHO Ektar is the best colour negative film period. The colours, the grain, skins tones (again - my taste), everything. The only issue is that its 100 which is not great for English autumn/winters ... My favourite 200 films are Fuji superia (smoother) and Kodak gold (punchy colours). 400 definitely Fuji Superia Lomo has some crazy films worth trying. Terrible grain, interesting colours, this is Lomo Colour 400:
philipus Posted September 6, 2016 Share #20638 Posted September 6, 2016 I always hesitate to put shots of my cameras on Flickr because they tend to get a lot more views than my real photos but here are a few I shot on Sunday on Acros 100 to try out the 16E extension tube that Gary so very kindly sourced for me in NZ (80 FE Planar, Diafine, wet mount scan). The extension tube is a very cool thing, indeed. Among other things, it shortens considerably the minimum and maximum focusing distances. These were shot at or very near minimum distance to see what would happen. The DOF is much narrower for any given stop. I really look forward to trying this with portraits. I suspect I'll get a "peering out of the fog" kind of look. Flickr Focus on the rewind switch, f2.8. Flickr At f16 - seems the top plate isn't even sharp (focus on the 1.4 on the lens) Flickr At f2.8 (same focus as above)
