Doc Henry Posted August 8, 2016 Author Share #19584 Posted August 8, 2016 When I first started shooting slides I shot mostly Ektachrome because I could get it developed almost anywhere overseas in the 60's. But, after seeing how the images faded over time I switched to Kodachrome and bought Kodak mailers. I could send them back to the US for processing and have them returned perfectly mounted. About 5 years ago I decided to start the digital conversion of them using my Canon 8800f flatbed scanner. Then on to the Plustek, where the process slowed down, but the results were better. Anyway, I miss Kodachrome and ease of just mailing in the film. Digital just does not do it for me, that is why I shoot mostly B&W today and process it myself. Glad you liked the photos, more to come later. I still have a few countries left to show, including some of those Ektachrome slides from the 60's and Thailand. Thanks Wayne for your reply More please Henry, Eagle 640 is a film apparently used for traffic surveillance. See here: https://www.macodirect.de/film/verkehrsueberwachungsfilm/maco-tcs-eagle-color-640-35mm-x-17m-auf-spule Rgds Christoph Christoph thank you for this precision. I don't know this film The film world is fabulous and all have nice colors Regards Henry
christoph_d Posted August 8, 2016 Share #19585 Posted August 8, 2016 Incidentally, is anyone going to photokina in September? I'll very likely be there on Sat 24th. I'd like to come, but won't have time this year. I could imagine a group from the German forum to go for a meet-up. Rgds Christoph
