EoinC Posted August 8, 2016 Share #19562 Posted August 8, 2016 Too busy with manual labour to go out and take new photos today, so tonight I scanned some old ones. These were taken in May 1980 in Minorca, with a Pentax K1000, FP4 (maybe there was no + in those days), developed by a lab in Brighton called Paragon, and now scanned on the X1: You all know she is still my favorite subject, so what can I say? I am still helplessly in love! Chris Excellent, Chris - Thank you.

christoph_d Posted August 8, 2016 Share #19565 Posted August 8, 2016 The concrete walls of an underpass nearby serve local artists as a canvas for graffiti. And once a year in Summer there is a weekend attended by graffiti artists from all over the place whereby all surfaces are being re-decorated. I had to miss this year's event due to travels, but could have a good look at the results. The overriding theme seemed rather sinister though... Welcome, dear visitor! too old to care Posted August 8, 2016 Share #19572 Posted August 8, 2016 Nice color in this picture Wayne even on an old All is Kodachrome Wayne ? nice color Thanks Henry Thanks When I first started shooting slides I shot mostly Ektachrome because I could get it developed almost anywhere overseas in the 60's. But, after seeing how the images faded over time I switched to Kodachrome and bought Kodak mailers. I could send them back to the US for processing and have them returned perfectly mounted. About 5 years ago I decided to start the digital conversion of them using my Canon 8800f flatbed scanner. Then on to the Plustek, where the process slowed down, but the results were better. Anyway, I miss Kodachrome and ease of just mailing in the film. Digital just does not do it for me, that is why I shoot mostly B&W today and process it myself. Glad you liked the photos, more to come later. I still have a few countries left to show, including some of those Ektachrome slides from the 60's and Thailand.

philipus Posted August 8, 2016 Share #19577 Posted August 8, 2016 Thanks for asking about me Adam, I'm here, doing my best to follow the thread. I've been away for a while but will post some new stuff once I get the rolls back (and I have some PanF and Rollei Retro 80 drying upstairs at the moment, which I look forward to scanning). I like your reflection a lot, it is very well executed. And it almost looks like slide film which is impressive. I never get my Portra 400 to look this way. Mine's more "sandy" somehow. Here is another one from me, again from Nice last year.
