Very nice Mnu.If you saw like that when you took this landscape , let the picture like above

if not  I'll add a bit luminosity.

Sometimes Kodachrome have some difficulty to scan , not the case with projection on screen.

It's normal.

Thanks for sharing

Best

Thanks, Henry for your sympathetic comment.
Yes, the luminosity of Kodachrome!
This has already been raised, because the weather was bad at the time of recording, as shown by the low flying clouds.
As I recall, the dawn had already begun.
A further increase of luminosity, in particular a stronger emphasis on the almost nonexistent red tones are answered in Lightroom by more coarseness and loss of details.

You are publishing these in a book, right?

NYC never captured better.

End of a roll of Fomapan 100 that I ran through the R8 with R29-70. I run hot and cold on the R8, it is big and heavy, an in your face sort of camera. But the results, well, they are wonderful.

Fomapan 100 was a bit of a trial, obtained from a nice dealer in Australia, and from the results (in R09), I will get more.

The tale of woe comes from me making new fix (I'd forgotten this, and found out part way through the 9 mins development time), and making it in a hurry. I poured this new fix into an old storage bottle, and found when I poured it tinto the tank that there was much scum (Adam's schmootz isn't even close) on the inside of the bottle. Too late.

Effect was lots of white "spots", irregular shaped, all over most/all the negs. I've cloned them out, I hate spots.

Gary

Nice shot Gary, and one well suited to Foma 100 IMHO (perhaps you should use the R8 more often?).

For my use the Foma100 will replace the "old"Agfa APX 100 (I still have a few rolls of that to burn), and in R09 which I believe is equivalent to Rodinal, the greyscale of Foma is superb, as both of your pictures show well.

Abandoned Ford truck UK.

Leica MP with 28mm Elmarit V4 and Foma 400 film.

Foma 400 is indeed a lovely film - it looks like TRI-X used to. I rate it at box speed of ISO400 and dev it in D76 stock because I find that the grain is a bit too much if it's developed in diluted D76.

This was D76 for 8mins at 20 degrees C.

I also find that the "new" APX 100 aka Kentmere/Ilford 100 is also a very nice film that gives good high quality images and for me I dev it for 9mins in D76 stock again for grain size.

Paul,

I like the the picture. What surprises me is the tonality of Foma @ 400. In my experience - admittedly in medium format - its sensitivity seemed much more to be iso200. Perhaps I should give it a try again.

Yes, to both, more Fomapan 100, and more R8. Certainly not if traveling, but for casual around home stuff, it is difficult to beat. I'm contemplating a longer lens, maybe the R70-210.

R09 is similar to Rodinal yes. I did have an old bottle of Rodinal, but it got used up, and nothing else available now, except the R09, so I grabbed a couple of bottles of that. I like the one-shot concept.
