Great series Philip, fantastic and absolutely worth posting as one.

HP5+ on a very smoky morning

I really like this "fog over the city"

I also shot fog with HP5 , really well reproduced by grain of film versus smoothing pixels with my M8

This is the last of a set of medium format B&W photographs that I always wanted to post in the forum, but I was not permitted. (OK, a couple of images had been posted, before I became aware of the rules!)

Paul very nice and I like much

Is it in Greece ? if yes you are a lucky man :)

Regards

Henry

Yes, it is Greece. All the medium format shots are from Greece--I've never been abroad with a MF camera, so far.

Thanks, Henry. I discovered this thread only recently. It's made me happy, for I can now upload medium format images as well.

Pity we cannot avoid digitisation, scanning and perhaps some post-processing. About the latter, one of my early uploads here (post #18645) was completely untouched, out of the negative. It's a bit low contrast--the exposure was with incident light--but a little of PS makes it more interesting, admittedly.

Perhaps, I'm too occupied with such matters; here's another post of mine (having nothing to do with film, though) of similar anxiety:

Thanks, Paul. Good observation, but I prefer the more subtle atmosphere of your original.

^ Again when I post  - looks "off" in google chrome, but fine in Safari... must be google chrome handles color differently.

Yes Gnu some sites photos or forum distort a little the color image.

Glad see you post again with us :)

Ans what I like in the film is that the original is satisfactory and does not need to correct except

when you have a little underexposed then you correct. It's a  marked difference with the digital

where you must always corrected.

uncorrected like in this picture below

... as when you lift the nose and look the ceiling of a cathedral :)

I think it has something to do with my calibrated monitor too. If I use normal srgb settings every thing appears fine, not matter which browser I use. Somehow Safari must read calibrated monitors or something, I don't know, way above my paygrade...

Two weeks ago we visited a delightful small town in Brittany. While my wife bought some delicious spices I looked out of the window of the shop. This is what I saw.
