Exactly. It's been about 9 years for my Mother, which has been very difficult for my Father. I guess the thing that's worse than getting old is not getting to get old.

My dad drove himself to the hospital at age 92.  He died two weeks later.  He never went to the doctor unless he hurt himself, never just because he felt bad.  Mom died 17 days later, she did not want to be alone.  They were married over 60 years.  He loved cars too, guess I know where I got that from.  I do not know when these photos were taken, but he looked quite well dressed in them.

Eoin also a nice and lovely picture

Your Dad seems fine

Best

Henry

Thanks, Henry. Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. My visit to Perth was to see him before he he is gone. It was a good visit, although the Weather Gods were not kind.

Many years ago one of my (many) travel commissions was a trip to the Middle East, starting in Lebanon, then to Syria & ending in Jordan. These two are from Lebanon, a guide in Baalbek  and the ruins at Anjar. I took both 35mm and 6x6 cameras (Nikon & Hasselblad), and these are Hasselblad shots on Velvia, scanned on an Imacon. Wonderful trip which would take too long to cover in detail (and rather poignant in view of events in Syria).
