One more poppies picture

I love so much the red of this flower.

Notice the "soft" and "sweet" side of the edge in comparison with

the "agressive" and "cutting" side in digital , less natural

for all lovers of natural flowers specially red flowers :)

This is beautiful, Henry. I love the green / silver / gold against the red of the poppies.

Another flower shot.  I do love shooting flowers with film, so much softer and more natural than digital.  This one is a Christmas cactus.  Again, Tri-X at 200, Hasselblad with extension tube, Rodinal 50:1.  Slight crop, but not much.

But does this mean the scanner (Hasselblad) is superlative, or the camera lens (Nikkor? 35/1.4), or both?

I agree though, great scans/shots.

Gary

Hi, Gary. Sorry for the late reply. I was meaning both, but specifically on the scanning. Chris' results are stunning. An unofficial Hasselblad / Imacon Ambassador.

You're too kind! Anyway, I should get the scanner free for that kind of job... ^_^

Your beach shots Adam, the ones that are not defined as "M something" are with the SWC, correct? The St Marteen ones are "labeled" but the others not, just curious.

The colours and definition are outstanding.
