I'd rather change to Pentax 645 Z, than buying a digital back for the beautiful 503...   ;-)

I got the 503 to shoot 6 x 6 film and 6 x 6 film it is.............You know what I am like, internet and boredom and the next thing I am thinking, um I wouldn't mind one of those :) :)

...get a 'Blad PCP 80 or a Rollei P 66 with a Schneider 150/2.8 and watch your 6x6 Slides (that you will produce soon) ...   ;-)

Interesting comparison here  : Hassy - Imacon against new SL

for me it's without appeal about "definition" and rendering in digital (pixels) and film (grain)  !

Adam, Neil and Chris will be glad

Your opinion ?

Long life to film

I'm probably not the right person to ask. Even if I could afford an SL I wouldn't use it. I find myself feeling more and more that digital is cheating, and to be honest, I wish I could have the speed, convenience and resolution of digital. I still enjoy splashing around in the chemicals, even though they may have played a part in my funny bone marrow. It's just that having spent nearly fifty years getting sorta competent at using film, I can't just leave it behind and cheat. It would be like cheating on my wife. There ought to be a name for this kind of mental disorder. So no matter how clever, easy and wonderful digital cameras become, I'll be sticking with film.

An early Hasselblad image.

EPN 100 film I think.

As an Enfield owner, it is my duty to disagree (Daughter's iPhone snap of an old photo by my wife on some unknown film with a long-forgotten camera)...

A snapshot of time long gone Eoin, lovely family pic to cherish.

Taken in NZ?
