Probably stuff from the psychedelic 60's and 70's.

Remember those days?

And an amusing four image sequence of my late mother during a boozy dinner in which she unravelled just a little

I have these four printed out on roll paper so they make a tetraptych. She'd be mad if she knew.

I'd like to share an example of how well Fuji Provia 100F does long exposures.

I was fancying this shot (the Guggenheim Museum on 5th avenue) for a while but now I think I am off of it

First, here is the B&W version that I shared a while back, taken with Ilford Pan F 50

that's cool insofar as it goes...

I had taken the color shot with the Provia 100F with over a minute exposure due to the darkness and figured that it would be washed with color casts (not having used any correction filter) ...

Not only is the reciprocity failure (or lack there of up to 1 min) amazing, at no color correction needed for up to a minute, but the colors hold together quite well...

Adam,

The color contrast adds dynamism and contrast to the colour version. I wonder if an orange or red filter would have helped the b&w film, at least to darken the sky. Fuji film generally seems to fare well wrt reciprocity failure.

Agreed with the others, a great shot.

My only beef would be the mass of lights across the lower segment, a few might be nice, but there is more than quite a few here.

Not much you can do about this, apart from try a different time of the day/night, when there is less traffic.

Still a great shot, no mistake.

Fantast Doc.

How do you develop your color film? And how do you scan, and with what scanner software?

Hi Neil, sorry I had a duty tonight in the emergencies

... and call me Henry :)

For the software, I go to the easiest, as I have said, I use the Nikon software

that was designed for the scanner (Nikon Coolscan 5000) , no expenses for

other softwares. RGB calibrated and scan in Tiff

For now, I give to the lab Fuji but in the future I will develop myself like Chris

E6 process. I develop already now C41 process.

In the E6 process , there are more washes.

Best regards

Henry

Both are nice Adam vivid color and nice b&w tone

Thanks

Chris superb color

... and wonderful series of your mother , very lovely portrait

well done, nice memory :)

Imacon is really a good scanner. The quality of the portraits is without appeal

compared to the best performing digital cameras , with the soft side, non-aggressive,

non-digital of the face. And I add tone in b&w is excellent

...and at sunset

You notice that the definition in the shadows of film Provia remains good even excellent

and trees at the bottom of the picture are still visible despite the contre-jour, not possible in digital
