The shots were taken immediately after each other. The first, though, used a 6 stop ND filter, while the second was shot w/o any filters Thought some people would find it interesting how Ektar handled the same wide angle scene w/ and w/o an ND filter.... w/o any filter... They are all nice, of course, but the last is "too dreamy" for me, very nice, but I like the first in that it has a little bit of that blurred feeling, but isn't completely static like the middle one, or too dreamy either. I remember you posting a similar shot in broad daylight which I liked a lot . Please keep them coming as they aren't boring me at all... ! Best, JM. Without having been there it's difficult to judge the colour reproduction, but for me the Ektar looks more convincing than the Provia. IMHO the colours of the Provia does not look right in the clouds and the sea just below the sun. I think this is much improved in the second image. The third one, due to the extended exposure, I presume, acquires a more pastell sheen, which does the scene less justice. To complete the overview, and help me to really make up my mind, could you also post the Provia shot with the extended exposure time of the second Ektar picture, and then the Ektar with the medium long exposure time of the Provia picture All the best and enjoy your Bagels! I had initially planned to take my M6 and Leica S, but really want to now just take M6 and 503 (I am really really enjoying this new experience of shooting film and just listing to the 503 take a picture is just so frigging amazing) I'm confident enough to know that I can get the correct exposure (+/- 1) and confident that I can get the film back home without too much grief with the airports scanners...............there's just a wee bit telling me to take the S and leave the 503 to guarantee the picture, but there's also part of me saying .................hell if I miss a few pictures so what, its all about enjoying taking right?????? Thoughts Neil, In a few years from now, digital technology will decide for you not just iso, exposure time and aperture, but also the best moment to take the shot (out of so many recorded ones); depending on the desired picture profile (like HCB? Ansel Adams? or ...), focal length and the most suitable aperture setting as well as shutter times are be chosen or re-constructed after the picture is taken, etc. ... So if you ask me, enjoy the possibility to chose your own moment and settings, while you can; at least it is you who took the picture, and not some unknown programmer ... Thoughts M6, and 503 for me Neil. And less lenses rather than a whole bag full. Take perhaps the 50 and a 28 or so for the M6, and the 80 for the Blad. Anybody with a MF- Camera should try a Velvia sometimes. I was able to get a Rollei P66 Dual P for a reasonable price. Thoughts Neil M6 with wide angle (28 or 35) for landscapes of Switzerland-Scotland and street pictures .Tele 75 or 90 for portraits without distortion ...and sometimes landscapes or flower in nature that's what I bring when I go on mission or when I travel far (12,000 kms) but for the 6x6 I do not know, I leave it to the gentlemen here to advise you Once I went with only 28 and 50, I regretted because under certain conditions the 90 I miss.
