Denis Lincoln Posted May 11, 2016 Share #15043 Posted May 11, 2016 Thank you all for the warm welcome. Here is some Portra 400 shot through my M6 and v3 35mm Summicron. Shot at McWay Falls along the Big Sur coast of California on our way to Santa Barbara, scanned on my BEOON copy stand and reversed in Photoshop. I'm still working on my color correction with negative film but the teal color of the water in the cove and the blue water beyond matches my memory. It is a beautiful spot along the coast here. The light was incredible and was just starting to get that golden hour look to it when we were passing through (by no accident - I calculated our travel to coincide with this time of day at this spot!). gbealnz Posted May 11, 2016 Share #15048 Posted May 11, 2016 Have to service my Hasselblad backs' seals... Cheers, JM. It's a relatively simple fix JM, I remember doing it many years ago on a used back which I acquired. Quite simple. Gary

honcho Posted May 11, 2016 Share #15054 Posted May 11, 2016 I went through an experimental phase some time ago to see how close I could get to medium format quality with 35mm film. Some thoughts on Rollei RPX 25 which I processed in Pyro on my website here: http://www.uklandscapephotographer.com/rollei-rpx-25-black-white-film/
gbealnz Posted May 11, 2016 Share #15055 Posted May 11, 2016 A good read Steve, thank you. I too miss the APX films, I was a huge fan of APX100, and to a lesser extent APX400. I have a roll of Rollei 100, so am keen to see if this is similar. Gary I went through an experimental phase some time ago to see how close I could get to medium format quality with 35mm film. gbealnz Posted May 11, 2016 Share #15057 Posted May 11, 2016 Will do Steve, it's in the fridge door, closest to escaping, and every time I open the door I swear I can hear it saying, "pick me, pick me". So next roll of B&W, I will. Trouble is, the Doc has "prescribed" colour for a while. I'll take my medicine, but eventually return to my love, B&W. A miller Posted May 12, 2016 Share #15059 Posted May 12, 2016 Mosque near my gaff Kodak Gold 400 + beautiful, Neil. Have you considered Kodak Ektar or Fuji Provia/Velvia 100 or Velvia 50 for this type of shot??
A miller Posted May 12, 2016 Share #15060 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) Yuuki Ilford Delta 100 IMHO the clear winner of your Yukki series. The range of tones and contrast is very alluring, and what you'd expect to seeing in a world class portrait.
