Something rather nice about these old typefaces and the flowery language employed. Interesting that the sign writer felt the need to capitalise the threatened sanction. As history has shown, this was probably no idea threat (the local powers that be in Dorchester being quite keen on transportation). "Ponderous carriages". Can't help think we have lost something in the way we use language nowadays. E. Archdall Frooks sounds like some busybody straight out of a Dickens novel. The former Clerk of the County Council of Dorset seems to have had his name mis-spelt on one or other of his directives.
