philipus Posted February 29, 2016 Share #12041 Posted February 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) It is very nice to see you back Chris. And I love the vapor trails, esp the first one. Resistance is futile I won't burden the thread by reposting but I have now uploaded the fisherman image with the horizon corrected to Flickr. Took a bit of imaginative use of the magic lasso, quick mask and cutting and pasting.

EoinC Posted February 29, 2016 Share #12043 Posted February 29, 2016 I'm now in the lull between having the basement torn out and the insurance company approving estimates for repairs, so a little chemical consolation is in order. So, no, it's not always foggy around my neck o' the woods, but you'll see me fumbling for a camera whenever the fog descends. Usually, we have bright, sunny skies - in fact bright, sunny and transparent enough to totally overwhelm b&w film. I think b&w of film is the best for rproduction of fog versus color Best Henry Edited March 1, 2016 by Doc Henry

philipus Posted March 1, 2016 Share #12057 Posted March 1, 2016 I like this shot. It has wonderful tonality and a very pleasant composition. I might have post-processed a bit to make the flowers stand out slightly more but the image also 'works' as it is now. brPhilip A second shot from yesterday's stroll in Ashton Keynes. An attempt to separate the daffodils from the water & bridge by using a large aperture on the GW690II.
philipus Posted March 1, 2016 Share #12058 Posted March 1, 2016 Sorry I should have multi-quoted. The second one is very nice. Even though the field is quite bright it works for me because of the framing. Very cinematic, somehow.
