M7 w/50mm Summicron on Ilford FP4+ in HC110B

Also posted in Street section.

Mike has been selling "Real Change" the newspaper to benefit Seattle's homeless on this same corner for 16 years. He also winds the the antique clock on the same corner.

Perfect. Especially with this editions headline. Very well seen.

A couple of outdoor shots using Cinestill 800 and a warming filter. Shot it at 400 (recommended is 500) ... thought I would share. I do sometimes find odd color blotches are stray colors in some frames. Leads me to never use this for something serious (meaning shooting for others), but I still soo like the look.....

and a repeat of the first with a different color correction ..... my bias is towards the warmer look but this is probably more "correct"

lovely and this man would make a really soulful "street" portrait, in which he is looking into the camera with a soulful gaze.   You might try that... Also, you might dialing down the highlights slightly, particularly in the beard...

I am headed to Park Avenue and 53rd street to shoot this sculpture with my wide angle lens (I took this photo from the internet; it's not mine)...

I'll shoot a roll of B&W and color...

I'd love to hear suggestions for what film you'd suggest, assuming you can get back to me within the next 30 minutes or so...

It is an overcast day, which has good ambient light.  Flat clouds (unfortunately nothing dramatic)

I have, Ektar, Portras (160, 400, 800), Velvia 50 and 100 and Provia 100F

For B&W I have TX400, Ilford Pan 50, TMAX 100 and 400 and maybe Delta 100

I'm leaving soon and will bring them all with me...

Thanks, Gary.  I ended up shooting a roll of Ilford Pan F and a couple of exposures of Ektar until I realized that it wasn't optimum light and I should see how the composition of the B&Ws come out.  I'll be back in a week or so with results...

thanks, Marc.  I was hoping that it would inspire you to come visit us in NYC...

This would be a great idea Adam! My best friend lived in NY in the Chambers street and I visited him year in and year out. "Unfortunately" (for me not for him) he met a beautiful girl two years ago and moved to Pennsylvania. But NY is again on the top of my list (I hope your immigration authority allows me to enter the country although I was in Iran  )

All the best

Marc

DOn't worry, Marc.  I'll have a word with Donald and everything will be just fine - he is a very reasonable man  :)

I am happy that I am not the only one who thinks that he is really a very very very reasonable man  ;)
