Two bar shots this time. The first was developed in HC-110 semi-stand 1:125 but it didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, though it was a fun experiment. For the purported flexibility and benefits of semi-stand I much prefer Diafine which also gives better grain on the films I use (mainly 5222 and Tri-X) and has a better compensating effect. Kentmere is a good film though.

Last week we had one of those really surreal sunsets.  I happened to be in a pretty good spot along the reservoir lake in Central Park ready to shoot it.  It was like being in a giant outdoor darkroom with the red safe-light illuminating everything.

Gary, you have some very nice shots in the series above. I particularly like the lone tree, the horse photos (being a rider how could I not), the waterfall and the third one in a walk in the woods, which is very spooky. I like that you have retained the foggy atmosphere.

Here's one that doesn't look like much but if one zooms in the Hermannsdenkmal can be seen on the mountain top in the distance.

It's very nice Adam, surreal as you say, esp. with the swirly cloud in the middle. Is this MF?

Thanks, Philip

Yes, this is from a 6x9 negative taken with my circa 1959 Linhof with an equally old (but lengendary nonetheless) Zeiss 100mm Planar (single coated only)

Best,

Adam
