A miller Posted February 4, 2016 Share #10681 Posted February 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Did you need to modify the processing for the pushed images ? Hi David - Thanks and yes, for the processing you need to "do what you need to do" to get what you want. I don't have a specific workflow, I just keep fiddling until I am satisfied. With pushed color film the biggest issue is the fact that the high contrast from the pushing crushes the shadows (which will come black or dark gray in a analog print), whereas the "flat" nature of the scanned file will extract more detail in the shadows than is necessary, and since the shadows are really crushed, the shadow detail from scanner will have blue cast that need to be reversed.

Keith (M) Posted February 4, 2016 Share #10691 Posted February 4, 2016 sounds good. Here are some examples of the film. The last four were pushed 1 or 2 stops... Just love the rich bold colours of the Cinestill 800 (and your resulting photographs). Very tempted to buy some but somehow I can't quite envisage finding similar scenes/characters on Wootton Bassett High St, even when it is 'chucking out' time from the pubs!

I should have been clearer, I meant in the actual C41 processing such as increased development time. But that is interesting about the scanning and will bear in mind. Thanks.

lleo Posted February 5, 2016 Share #10699 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Those coastal areas are beautiful, Doc. I'd love to visit. Last year I was planning a trip to Mont Saint Michel with a friend, on our motorbikes. But in the end we didn't do it. Actually I think those areas are so beautiful as the English countryside. Fuji GSW690iii Ilford Delta 100 Heliopan O22 Delta 100 is one of, if not the best, monochrome films for pictorial subjects but it's weakness is with reciprocity failure after between 1-2 seconds.
