In Paris, sometimes polluted by exhaust gas cars, the banks of the Seine River are a quiet place to walk,
sports jogging (to lower cholesterol)  :)  and instead of romantic rendezvous for lovers,
all under a fresh breeze coming from the Seine (we are only at 100 kms from
the sea) , which cleans the

atmosphere, ideal in summer !

Pont des Arts

There were many padlocks of lovers on this bridge in danger of collapse.

The mayor a woman , of Paris City Hall has all removed and replaced with panel

Kodak TX400

Film with very nice black deep black , with nuance in grey

and as I said "black is black , white is white" versus b&w digital !

I fully agree with Adam; this is precisely what I thought when I saw the series. The first one is particularly good. The colours are very nicely reproduced throughout the spectrum. Well done Chris.

Out in a bitter wind with the SWC and Portra. The sea was red with churned up sand, and the rocks coated in frozen spray.

and one silly mistake, the optical finder on the SWC is perched high above the camera and you can't see what is going to be in the bottom of the frame!

I want to show you my favorite camera and for me many memories !

For me a MP is like a Leicaflex !

This is my first camera when I was med. student in the 1970s paid by credit

by a student still without money :) ....  but with a Leica   :)

I no longer use this camera and I prefer the lighter M

Here a picture of this German Panzer and legendary Leicaflex , isn't Gary ?

It has just been revised by Solms . All used parts were changed.
Who said that Leica did not have spare parts (45 years !!!)

even the wheel speeds with erased numbers has been changed

I keep it in the memory of this difficult time.

For today, this isn't about the picture, it's about the developing.

I wanted to know if I could get away with developing my C41 at room temperature. (which in the winter is 17c)

So I checked out a few threads around the 'net and decided on 30 minutes developer and 30 minutes blix, with normal washing and stabilizer.

I used a Rondinax 35U so that I could just develop 5 frames out of my roll since I didn't know if it would work or not and I didn't want to ruin a whole roll if it failed.

I'd say it was a success. The colors look fine, and the grain isn't any more pronounced than my normal grain for this film.

It was a bit long, so I watched netflix while turning the knob on the Rondinax.

I'm not sure if the trade off is worth it; time vs temperature hassle.

In any case, here is the result.

At first glance it seems OK for me Paul . Sky is blue, red is red and white snow is white :) and no veil

or dominance ...  so we can compensate for the temperature drop by increased development time

Good to know ! to see with experience

I work at 30 °C instead of 38°C recommended,  and I get the same result,  in a water bath on a hot plate.

Some work in a fish tank with an electrical resistance set at 30 ° C

... however in the instructions of Tetenal they told "unederdevelopment with color density and contrast lower"

It happened to me on one roll to forget 2 -3 minutes (30°C) in developer to have the entire film "underdeveloped"
