Taking a cue from the church roof characteristic of the area, here's a photo of l'église a Mieussy, Haute-Savoie, France.

 

Being not so careful with camera-film-lens information, all I can confirm is that it's not a digital photograph.

Yes I agree no digital because soft line and color ...  and natural :)

Not too far at all. In fact I sometimes come across the Col de la Colombière to walk around Les Annes. Beautiful country indeed.

Taking a very slight hint from Adam's superb historical images, I was tempted to look at some of my older slides.  :0  This one is an example of the colonial architecture in Kuala Lumpur, taken in 1967 with my (then) Canon FT on AgfaChrome.  IIRC, the building is the main Post Office!

Thanks for sharing this, Keith.  It is amazing how much interest the old cars draw.  I often wonder whether we'll look back on our cars of today decades from now with this same level of interest.  It is hard for me to see doing this given the lack of charm that most of  the cars on the road today have...

Adam, this will teach me to change. Shame Kodachrome is stopped

I bought twenty Kodachrome rolls before Kodak stops production.

I have used all  and sent to Dwanes lab in Kansas in 2009

So the slides scanned are recent... and have no veil :)

Ha! I think I bought 50 or 100 (don't recall) as soon as I found out about the demise of Kodachrome. Little did I know that later Dwayne's would announce that they would stop developing.  :(  I tried to shoot as many as I could before time was up, but I did not quite make it shooting through all of it. Most of these images posted here so far were from a trip to Mexico where I took some of that Kodachrome stock, including some E100VS, some tri-x, and a couple rolls of Portra 160 just to try for my first time (I did not get along with it so well for some reason).

 

It's too bad Kodachrome is gone. It's by far my favorite slide film, with a truly unique look that is difficult, if not impossible to replicate digitally.

 

I'm upset that E100VS is gone too, and Plus X for that matter. As well as Velvia 50 in the 4x5 format (which is my favorite for that format). I've never shot Velvia in 135 - I need to try it out, and as I mentioned in my first post in this thread, seeing some of the Portra 400 shots has me interested, as well as the Ektar 100 shots. But none of these will replace my love affair with Kodachrome and E100, both my top choices in 35mm.

Keith. I think it would be better to have opened the gate, it's a barrier to the view. And for me, again the vignette is too strong. I'd prefer it without.

 

Please don't be offended, after all it's a well known fact...I know nothing..
