Sparkassenkunde Posted December 13, 2015 Share #8521 Posted December 13, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Indeed, thank you. It is worth noting that I have tried to have analog C41 prints made of some of these photos and the negatives were simply too thin to capture the same image that I was able to get from the digitized process. That was a learning experience for me as I had thought the opposite.. Here is one from the same roll that I really like but that didn't come out adequately in the darkroom... I made a similar experience with some of my negatives. All my color films go through a cheap lab-development in a drugstore chain and after scanning I was more than once surprised what came out with a little playing in Lightroom Your image from that rainy day in Jerusalem is a little gem. I like the tonality and the composition is superb. Is there a slight magenta hue in the stones over the man with the umbrella at the right side or is it just my uncalibrated monitor?

gbealnz Posted December 13, 2015 Share #8530 Posted December 13, 2015 Pre dawn Speculator, NY. Tmax400 M6 50mm summicron OK, I'll ask. What causes the effect in the mid-tones of the upper half of the image? I've seen this before when I have stretched astro images too much, especially 8 bit astro images. Is this the same reason? All I can tell you is that the effect occurred in the compression process. It was not present in the scanned-as-tif image. I'm hoping one of our colleagues has an answer. It was not present in the scanned-as-tif image. I'm hoping one of our colleagues has an answer. Peter you might try re-exporting (or otherwise converting) the image to jpeg. Sometimes I get funky results like this when I export a larger tiff file to a compressed jpeg. My guess is that it is random and probably won't repeat. Please note that these are prime examples of the most dangerous people on the planet: Lisbon ladies over a certain age are not to be trifled with. They hunt in pairs...
