Thank you for the positive feedback--I appreciate it!

This thread is a wonderful respite from the rest of the internet forum world. I really appreciate the constructive and positive tone.

Thanks for your encouragement

In this thread, many have practiced digital and analog photo.

The contributors have therefore the exprerience, they like to share with a return to film. :)

Some also continue to photograph with their digital camera.

Some street photos now !

I love photographing the expressions of people when they talk with an extremely discreet

camera , without people realize that I photograph.

This merchant of french "saucissons" made me taste excellent organic homemade sausage
The lady is even more enterprising with many questions that I have not thought to ask.

This has inspired another lady who watched her !

In the end , I left him with a picture and bought 2 sausages :)

Vegetables and other organic products are currently being developed here in France .
They are highly sought  and guaranteed without pesticides (controlled by a state agency).

This lady is very careful in choosing its aubergines :)

and she does not even see me that I was taking a picture

Hello all

I have been visiting this thread (as I use film) and looking at all the great photographs posted here. Truly admirable stuff.

I don't develop and scan myself but have a small lab called Format Photo in Grenoble to do it for me.

I put together a few photographs under a theme called "Vie agricole, scène pastorale" for a local 'Concours photo' and wish to share with the group here. I hope I am able to upload the photo here as I'm not too good with such stuff.

Another view of Brantome and the River Dronne.  MP, Summaron 35mm f2.8, Portra 400.  The rich colours from this film are quite at variance with the more pastel shades of Ektar exhibited in the photos uploaded by Adam et al.  Or is it just the fairly intense sunlight?

Keith - Lovely photo with fine mid-day color balance.  In response to your question, many of the color photos that I have posted recently (at least the ones with the sky in them) were taken in the very early morning light, which by their nature will have a more pastel color palette.  So I am not sure it is an exactly apples to apples comparison.  Having said this, the color palette in your shot here is whatI would expect to see from Portra 400.  Thanks for sharing.

very beautiful.  Care to share the color version??

I spent some time looking for the color version on my computer this morning. It's there somewhere, I saw it the other day. When I find it again, I'll post it. I think I actually prefer this image in color.
