philipus Posted September 28, 2015 Share #7008 Posted September 28, 2015 About Double-X I'm trying it in Diafine just now and hope to have results in a few days. But also in HC-110 it is possible to get smallish grain (all depending on one's preferences naturally; I posted a few shot at EI800 earlier in this thread). In the meantime, here's a colour photo. gbealnz Posted September 30, 2015 Share #7016 Posted September 30, 2015 OK, it has started, a couple to placate the Doc, who is away but keeping an eye on proceedings I know. Recent trip through parts of Europe, took the M6, plus the old collapsible 50mm Summicron, and the 35mm Summicron (V2). Film I took with me was a couple of rolls of FP4+ which Bruno kindly donated when I bought the M6 from him (thank you again Bruno), plus I took a roll of T-Max100, plus a roll of TX400. Being lazy and stuck in my ways, the soup I processed in was R09, for all, two rolls at a time. The two FP4 were 15 minutes at 20º, 1:50 dilution. The other two Kodak films were 13 minutes at 20º in the same R09 1:50. One thing that is obvious there is a vast difference in the "look" of the two "sets". The Ilford pair are "gutsy" quite contrasty, which I sort of like. The Kodak pair are much more sedate, quite flat even. To be expected most likely. First one is a wonderful countryside scene in the Puglia area, sort of between Locorotondo and Cisternino. TX400, M6, 50 Summicron. Second is a wonderful piazza in Martina Franka, Puglia. Again TX400, and M6, with the guess being 35 Summicron. I sort of miss the EXIF advatage of digital sometimes. I'll keep adding a few at a time, and also do some of the FP4 negs to show what I mean. And I will also flick a post of my meagre scanning system, which I really need to "update", I'm on the prowl for a scanner proper. Gary Welcome, dear visitor! gbealnz Posted September 30, 2015 Share #7017 Posted September 30, 2015 And to help understand what I was on about with respect to the "scanner". Leica T attached to a Leica BEOON. Lens is my 50mm Apo Rodagon N. All sitting on a cheap LED light I bought as we returned through HK. Not perfect, certainly not easy, but it works. I am looking more forward to getting the trays out and actually printing, but wanted to get a few moving. I often use a Fuji X-E1 which is my astro camera, but for the forum use wanted "to keep it in the family". Gary Welcome, dear visitor!
