Hi Otto - love the composition here. The only thing I might suggest is that you restore the shadows to the right and behind the man on the stairs (in the left foreground). To me, the lack of shadows gives it a slightly artificial look. I could be wrong and there could have been some strange backlighting going on, in which case I woudn't suggest artificially adding shadows....

Thanks for your constructive comments Adam. I made a quick Duotone here from my original JPG-scan, which you see below (don't remember if I ever did local dodging for the man left). The Duotone results in a .PSD file, which I have to save for web again as a JPG and this can give some muddiness that I tried to compensate.

I do think however, that La Défense gives some clearance of shadows, I remember that the light is quite bright into your eyes when you're in the arc.

Absolutely gorgeous Adam

What a beautiful color we more want return to digital.

Soft edges of face of the lady not smooth like in digital

Thanks Adam

Agree with Henry Adam, wonderful shot. Normally (of late especially) some of your images are quite "contrasty". This one I do like, nice even colours and tones, very nice. Very nice.

I almost thought you'd used fill-flash, but recall you have a big office block with windows to do this fill work for you, correct?

Many thanks, Henry and Gary.

Henry - Have a safe flight and happy shooting.

Gary - This one didn't involve any special light. Just lunch hour sun.

Here is one that did; she is walking west with the morning sun behind her and her face illuminated by the reflection from the Freedom Tower...
