Doc Henry Posted January 11, 2015 Author Share #2643 Posted January 11, 2015 Hello Henry, two images of a poppy flower - different in design - different in focus - in different light conditions - both very appealing but i'd choose Bergger 400 Kodak for me Ingrid sorry but I had a few rolls of Bergger to try and I also had a few rolls of Kodak. I have taken in different places but at the time I had only one M7.Now I have 2 and I will repeat some film tests soon Ingrid and James, thank you for the reply and the interest you have to distinguish between the two films Looking at the crop of the two photos, from a general point of view, Kodak has more black and finer grains which gives a little more clearly than Bergger with less fine grains. For portrait, perhaps Bergger give more value to the skin pores and may be is better Both are nice ....but also according to the taste of each, it's a little charm side of the film, as said a famous photographer "each film is a new sensor" Best regards Henry
otto.f Posted January 11, 2015 Share #2644 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Well we may be impressed but she certainly is not! She looks critical. That is most probably caused by the zone focusing that is being used here. She is right too, her beauty deserves more focus Apart from that I like A Miller's series of commuters very much Edited January 11, 2015 by otto.f

Sparkassenkunde Posted January 11, 2015 Share #2653 Posted January 11, 2015 I prefer the color version. Black&white looks nice and accentuates the structures, but only in the color version the context (ceramics with the blue drawings) is transported. Thanks for sharing!
