Wow, the walls painted in black.A real darkroom :) What class ! I have the same scoponet very useful for enlarging (per example 50x60)

My walls are white, because I share the room with the laundry, but it is a large room with a water tap and a sink nearby, required to develop the picture .

What is Gary above Focomat, the color head ?

Best

Henry

Henry yes that is the colour head the chap that is giving it to me says it was a very popular up grade he only prints colour prints from slide but he is nearly out of chemicals and will have to go onto colour negative film soon, but with this head there is no need for filters to print B+W, my printing room will be my sons bedroom when he is not home from the army

Allen, we have in medical exploration software to smooth edges and lines to make them more readable images. This is equivalent to correction.

I do not yet speak of color.

The MRI images also go through sophisticated software correction.

For the portrait of your son, you lose with too smooth edges, it is less natural.

Photo software can not distinguish a foreground of a background, everything is smooth at the same level. That's what my Leica advisor

calls pictures "flat"

That's what I do not like digital. I say this because I have practiced digital photos for more than 5 years .

Here , I show you a portrait of Maxim the son of my friend

Kodak TX400

The Coolscan also smooth the edges a bit, but this photo in silver paper Ilford , is softer and more natural. It hurts less to view.

Your opinion about edge of face and clothes ? Thanks Allen !

Have a nice day

Best

Henry

Henry,

Here is a comfy (and heavily used) corner in one of my favorite bookstores, located in downtown Los Angeles. It is called The Last Bookstore!

Well, that looks like a proper book-store. :)

Lovely photo Henri.

Until the day digital kan give exact the same result as analog you don't have to worry I stop using film.

I do admit that whenever I think it is possible, there is a chance I'll shoot digital only.

I have my analog cameras because of the end result, not because I like developing, scanning or printing. I actually don't like that part at all! I wish I had so much money to be able to shoot all day long and have someone else develop the rolls for me. :p

Gary, lovely darkroom you have!

Allen, do not take this bad what I said ! :)

I always keep my M8 and M9 as digital cameras but I use it at least that's all !

For difficult macrophotography, I still have my R8

I think depending on what you want to photograph, it adapts with a type of camera

Thanks for your comment of the picture. :)

Henry, don't worry. I never take words / opinions the bad way. Adults should be able to differ in their opinion without having a fight. ;)

Here is my "little house laboratory" where I develop films (b&w and color) and make prints on photographic paper. What fun :) and what a beauty these silver pictures :) .This room has a water tap with a sink, and a window to vent when I work at night . I have 3 outlets for equipment ! the water bath for color film developtment is behind.

I failed totally to get any photos in Halifax, but I went to the beach yesterday and finished a roll of Ultramax 400 (at ISO200). All M7, Lux 35FLE, Unicolor chemicals, X1 scans:
