gsgary Posted August 20, 2014 Share #1341 Posted August 20, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Henri, Portra 160 costs less than 30 euro in a box of 5!If you buy 40 rolls at a time it's worth ordering at Macodirect in Germany. Saves you money. I usually order HP5+ from them. Still my favorite film. I get HP5 direct from Ilford, 100 feet for £50 including delivery

tookaphotoof Posted August 20, 2014 Share #1349 Posted August 20, 2014 I get HP5 direct from Ilford, 100 feet for £50 including delivery Gary, how many rolls of film at 38 frames could you get out of 100 feet? My last rolls cost me €4,76 (3.80 pounds) each. Would be interesting to know if I can get the costs per frame down. Just bought some colour film at the local store. Vista plus 200. €2.50 per roll. Will be interesting to know if I can get some decent shots on out of those.
gsgary Posted August 20, 2014 Share #1350 Posted August 20, 2014 I think I got about 18 rolls but I have just bought 400 feet of double x for £65 so that should work out very cheap but not as cheap as the 100 feet of Kodalith I got fo £0.50

Keith (M) Posted August 21, 2014 Share #1354 Posted August 21, 2014 Just bought some colour film at the local store. Vista plus 200. €2.50 per roll. Will be interesting to know if I can get some decent shots on out of those. If you look at any of my colour photos on this thread, they are all on Agfa Vista 200 @ £1 per 36exp roll from one of the 'Pound' shops (Poundland, I think). Fine for general use. Doc Henry Posted August 21, 2014 Author Share #1359 Posted August 21, 2014 You know what just happened to me ... scared when I saw after leaving my film in the fixer (Ilford) for the development of my 400TX film, the liquid appears all black when I put it back in the Rowi bottle Then I thought : "that's it, I missed the development of my film" .... fortunately the film appears clean and well developed ... I kept this fixer for a long time, lazy make a new ... and before another scare, I did not quite close the cover of Paterson tank oops ... I'll post some pictures later Henry
