Doc Henry Posted April 4, 2014 Author Share #964 Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) Thank you Ken for commenting ! It's sure that the film does not have the sharpness of digital (smooth edges) , when you want to make an enlargement as a large billboard (and again, we see the square pixels), but an enlargement of the same size, from a film is certainly less clear, but it has a soul because of grain Welcome, dear visitor! Doc Henry Posted April 4, 2014 Author Share #965 Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) I think it's more beautiful in color as b&w, with a beginning of dusk and the hundreds balloons of all colors. tookaphotoof Posted April 5, 2014 Share #969 Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks Henry, this one came out ok. I usually throw the rolls of film in a drawer. Whenever I feel like it I grab a few to develop. I recently bought a Jobo CPE2 to speed up the process, but I didn't got the times right, ended up with overdeveloped rolls of film. The one here was of a roll developed with by hand.

Doc Henry Posted April 6, 2014 Author Share #971 Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) Hi All, Just a comment to tell you that sometimes, before the "invasion" of digital cameras and photos smartphone or iPad, I wonder if you do not consider me as "delayed" with a film's thread. Just look at the other thread where everyone "marveled" at digital photos. Is a new world begins ? and soon we, lovers of beauty (specially for color) of the film, will not become "men of prehistory" Briefly , I am a little discouraged by this invasion Best Henry Edited April 6, 2014 by Doc Henry
tookaphotoof Posted April 6, 2014 Share #972 Posted April 6, 2014 Henry, although I love film digital has its place for me. It helps me to practice at relatively low cost and at the moment I have about 15 rolls of film waiting to be developed when I have time for it. I developed some pre-Christmas film end of March. From time to time I want to see my results a bit faster. Shooting film means I need to develop, scan and some post processing in the end. Scanning takes a lot of time. However, there are two things that will keep me shooting film for as long as possible. The looks of te result and strangly... the shutter sound of my MP. Doc Henry Posted April 6, 2014 Author Share #973 Posted April 6, 2014 Thanks for your comment Allen. ... yes if you want to post immediatly a picture on a forum or send it by mail, it is convenient Silver picture also goes through a magnifier where you can take photos on the photographic paper barium or not ... but it takes time, time we took the opportunity to make a picture more artistic, but the result what a beauty, one photo with no smooth edges, no soul Now everyone wants everything to go faster ! The result can be seen immediately when compared with this obtained with an Epson printer as 8800 for digital vs silver paper Best H.
tookaphotoof Posted April 6, 2014 Share #974 Posted April 6, 2014 If I wanted all of my photos on the internet, I wouldn't be shooting digital in the first place. It's just that I want to have seen the photo myself before I leave the world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
