charlesphoto99 Posted April 4, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted April 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Discovered this fine purple line - looks almost like a color neg scratch - on files shot at 1250. Not seen on lower speeds. It runs vertically on the far right hand side (cropped here from a portrait oriented photo so why it runs horizontal in this example). Using Lightroom. Haven't shot at 2500 yet so not sure if shows up there. Not a huge deal but just curious if anyone else has encountered this? Oh, and I haven't cleaned my sensor yet. adan Posted April 4, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 4, 2007 Depends on what you mean by "FAR right-hand side". I've seen a line at 2500 on some jpegs, but it was about 1/3rd of the frame in from the right-hand side, not really close to the edge. Â I have no technical explanation for off-center vertical lines, since they don't follow the "flow" of the voltage out of the pixels the way the more common horizontal bands and lines do. And since they are not centered, they are not due to the "split-readout" between the two halves of the sensor.
bayerische Posted April 4, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted April 4, 2007 Once again a line of bad or dead pixels.
