Advertisement Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Hi Abhinava Goswami, Take a look here Noctilux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted April 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2007 Hi Abhinava, there is no practical diference between lenses of the same type made in Germany or Canada. Yes you can tell the age of a lens from its serial number. The Erwin Puts Leica compendium has a table at the back, but I don't have my copy to hand I'm afraid. ddp Posted April 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 3, 2007 They are all made in Canada - parts are made in Germany I beleive, but all lenses say "Made in Canada." This is a subject that comes up every now and again...
Abhinava Goswami Posted April 4, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted April 4, 2007 Hi DDP & Stunworth Thanks for sharing your word's with me I would like to tell you about that my lenshood of the Noctilux is square not round. Abhinava
erl Posted April 5, 2007 Share #5 Posted April 5, 2007 Hi Abhinava, When you say 'square', do you mean sqare with rounded corners? That is what I am assuming as the other hood I know of is perfectly round. Round is the older model, 'square' (with rounded corners) is the newer model. Both are made in Canada. Both are excellent lenses. The Noct was in fact designed and built in Canada I believe. Someone please correct me if I am wrong!
